A nation built on healing and mending wounds!
~Reprieve of Virizion~It was rumored that she was the first to read, but who witnessed to say?Not the forlorn. She could not say much. She wished not to speak of the countless clashes and slaying.Even when the Goddess appeared, she was silent. She simply looked upon her, the plate she held, and then read. The scripts on the stone gave her a beautiful form. Her skin was like snow covered by viridescent green cloth. She no longer was tattered by dirt and soaked in crimson shades. But she asked the Goddess who bestowed upon her this new form,“Whom do I slay in your name now?” “What does my Goddess command?”Pointing to the Kingdom in the forest yonder, The Goddess uttered…“Live.”The tired warrior’s head had fallen.Tearfully and blissfully, she walked to her exile from the battlefield.
~History~
Virizion, a Sword of Justice, fought for eons in the name of the Creator. This had sharpened her skills, but did not steel her heart. Upon reading the plate, she gained human form and would be commanded to live within the Aoba Kingdom. Eventually, this would shape the Kingdom as it is today due to the presence of the former defender of truth and justice who was now known as the Cleric of the Viridescent Kingdom.
In her human form, Virizion would marry into the Mōri Clan. As a former warrior and an affinity for the nature of elements, she was known as an invaluable healer that contributed to Mōri Minamoto’s legacy for researching the world and its plants. She proved to be a competent apothecary and an even more loyal wife. It was due to her healing and abstinence from war, that she aided in the Aoba Kingdom’s victory over Sanagi Kingdom.
A pacifist at heart, Virizion would garner the admiration of friend and foe, gaining the alliance with the Sanagi Kingdom for the Mōri Clan. Even if submissive to the Mōri Clan’s rule, the Sanagi Kingdom did not see this as a shame upon their name as they only believed they would gain the eternal elixir that was the Cleric’s healing regimen and medicines.
~Culture~
The Woodland Kingdom is nothing short of tranquil and peaceful. The combined expanse stretches an unending forest of trees and shrubbery. Rolling plains are a pause between these woods and unbeaten paths. In the future, this was said to be called the “Viridian Forest,” but that is another story. The trees and greenery are treated with respect due to many of the present plants being used in the healing arts and subduing arts of the Aoba Kingdom.
Most of the citizens are not enthusiastic about war and battle. They greatly honor the memory of their passed cleric who is also thought of as their heroine. Though, like their cleric, they are not naive! Their arts are known to be able to lull enemies into sleep one way or another to end a battle or to make things easy for the defeat of their enemies. Capture is a strong likelihood in this Kingdom if you are an aggressor just as much as the possibility of your wounds being treated with great efficiency.
Their medicines are highly respected among the Kingdoms as are their genius battle tactics for ending things in a minimum, violent nature among their Warlords. Due to their nature and culture, most Warlords who come from this kingdom take on roles that are similar to Healing Clerics. The academy are always searching for those from this class to add to their ranks to keep their Pokemon healed and in top shape.
