A blessing upon the land! A curse upon the land!

~Birth of Xerneas~

So it came to pass the Goddess’s defeat but not her death.

The Divine would lay within a thicket of lush forest hidden.

For that moment, with no shards of her power left,

The Goddess would fear the unimaginable for the Divine.

Using the remnants of her power, she would create once more.

The soil, the divine power within, and a single tree would be her incubator.

A most holy energy would pour from this tree, pulsing into the Earth.

The world would feel this new vein of life as a heartbeat pulsated.

All that walked upon the Earth would be infected by this energy,

More than others, as it birth forth a wellspring of new power into the world.

A village nearby, journeying in these woods, would see the miracle that came.

The tree had come into being, and the creatures attracted to it would be its fae.

The Goddess would give her new child her newest trinket and purpose.

Oblivious the walking, radiant being of life would go into the nearby village,

The Goddess would sit proud of her newest creation,

One that could even be a threat to the Black Dragon.

She would rest her tired and battered body,

Within the thicket, she would lay quiet without worry.

But the Goddess was not deaf as she could hear the echoes.

Time and Space would whisper in dread for what she had done.

~History~

Fairy Pokemon had not been alive in the pangea of Ransei. It was not until the Divine Creator had noticed that she was at a disadvantage against Rayquayza without all of her plates that she would create a type and species that could keep the creatures at bay. Giving life to a tree, the Creator made Xerneas. From the life energy from this tree, thus a new energy coursed through Ransei creating a woodland overflowing with an enigmatic lifeblood that influenced the continent. Fairy-Type Pokemon had become localized at a village and freely flocked around the origin of this energy. This human being would settle into the village, blessing it with this energy in secrecy, and attracting the fairy-types around the village. Although the people lacked battle experience to hold their own against the Kingdoms, their links with the Fairy-type Pokemon allowed for them to flourish and make a place that even Dragon Pokemon dared not tread. It is said the Creator hid in this woodland and left upon finally healing from her battle with the Black Dragon.

The Sen’ichi Clan is perhaps the only prominent clan in the village that has power due to them being directly descended from the village’s elder who was Xerneas that had given up her divinity and their utilization of Regalia. Due to this, they are said to have most recently given arts to the people of the village, including the properties to sooth and calm others. This often comes in the form of an “attraction” of some type, making it so Pokemon and people alike are drawn to them or easily soothed. Most of the members of the Sen’ichi Clan act as some type of village spiritualists, making it so that they are something akin to shamans.

The Sen’ichi act towards the Regalia as the villager’s “treasure” due to its mystical properties and it being brought to them by Xerneas upon entry. They believe it is the source of all Fairy Pokemon (and in a way, it is) as they appeared along with the presence of Xerneas and the stone carved object. They are protective of the one who has the treasure and the family that surrounds it, so the Sen’ichi are seen as sacred children and the other clans within the village act as guardians that surround them. It is not uncommon for guardians to assume the role of being the protector of the jewel if one of the Sen’ichi dies. Famously, the Ii Clan seem to be the most trusted of the clans the Sen’ichi associate with.

~Culture~ 

The Higi Woodlands and their people are perhaps the most undeveloped when it comes to their way of living as well as their lands. They still inhabit a village using basic building materials of wood and cloth but have become more aware of the times and created a large wooden perimeter that rises high to be three times their height. Due to the lifegiving avatar that came there, a disguised Xerneas, the area has become surrounded by a thicket of forest and woodland that is constantly covered in a blanket of misty terrain. The people see it as an invigorating energy although the only ones that benefit from it are the Pokemon. When strangers draw close to the village, the mist thickens, which is most likely a leftover failsafe Arceus used to hide herself while injured. It does not seem to affect villagers, even when bringing them in and out of the village.

The villagers are very spiritual, but one should not be fooled. Because of the Fairy-Type Pokemon and the woodland creatures that have evolved there due to Xerneas presence, they have learned how to use wit and charm to win battles. They often know the woods and the areas like the back of their hands making it so that they have the advantage if fighting in their area. They live in a delighted spirit, regardless of the hardships of the time, and prefer to live peacefully with their Pokemon. They do not mind if their youth leave their settlements and attend the academy, and often give charms and trinkets of their own to remember them that take the form of dolls or jewelry. The warriors of this particular culture are odd just as much as they are rhythmic. Due to their lack of power, however, they cannot properly represent their village as Kingdoms do as they have no known "Nobles" to speak of.

Embracing the spiritualism of their people, they move like Dancers in synch with their Pokemon. Due to the abnormal energy that raced through the land and Xerneas's offspring, the Yokai were born to the village with variations being more common as "blessed." They usually have more charming and soothing appearances compared to their counterpart species.
