Character Updates
Because we keep growing stronger!
Because we keep growing stronger!
In this roleplay, there is no experience growth nor is there an RNG God to watch over everyone and leave them out of building the character they desire. Writers simply express ideas for their builds and act upon them with the intention to contribute to the story. However, there is a rule to getting more powerful or potentially rewarding merits and privileges: you must put in the effort! This is why Tearing Through Heaven is objective and based on a system of writing plots, scenarios, and character interactions that contribute to character growth (which leads to Pokemon Growth).
Character Barracks will consist of the following
- The Character info (Name, Ability, Regalia)
- The Pokemon the character has (Their Link Level & Techniques)
- List of RP threads participated in
In your character barracks, you are making a tracker for your character and the threads they participate in. You take the available template and reply to your character tracker. These requests are made when a thread is completed or when a special event has ended and you update your character tracker. Upon doing so, you are able to request a Pokemon to be available in the next scenario or even for your Pokemon to learn a move in another thread. The possibilities vary based on your efforts of participation and story telling!
Requests that can be made
- Link Lv. Up - Link Levels are the simplest of requests. They are usually requested after a thread ends where the Pokemon and the Warlord were involved in interactions. The request can be made with some of the Pokemon are all three of them that were used! Link Levels are distributed objectively and are influenced by how the Pokemon interacted, the type of thread, as well as if any battles have taken place. The staff team will reply with an approval of the thread added to the log along with the number of Link Levels gain during the thread. If the thread does not warrant a level up for whatever reason (insufficient material, minor length, etc) then it will be simply be approved and noted later towards the next Link Lv. Up.
- Rare Pokemon - The member is able to ask if they may gain a Rare Pokemon! These Pokemon are not common to come by, so your character would have to do a lot of journeying and be in a lot of scenarios. When you believe your character has had significant interactions, then you will be able to post a Rare Pokemon request by filling out the template. Your next scenario, you may write out in a solo thread or in a thread with others your character obtaining the Pokemon. Be sure that you put effort into writing your stories leading up to this event and the event itself.
- Technique Tier-Up - Technique Tier Ups are when the Pokemon somehow upgrades their move from one Tier to the next. This is usually done by the character extensively using a technique to such a degree that it upgrades to its next variation. This will be watched carefully due to tier upgrades being complex. Tier Upgrades are logical and goes through a system that its type and theme will match (Example: Fire Punch will not become a Flamethrower). Upon the request being approved, you will be able to write in the next scenario your Pokemon upgrading that technique (WARNING: If your Pokemon's Tier is not equal to or higher than the technique tier, they will not be able to control it or use a lot of stamina executing it).
- Revision Requests - This, unlike other requests, is fairly simple! These requests can be made at anytime for the character, but be sure to not mess up the timeline. Sometimes, a person may want to swap out a Pokemon for another when they have six (which involves permanently releasing a Pokemon). There is also a possibility that you want to exchange a technique for another in the Pokemon's Tier. Please be aware that any changes among the chain will follow along the Tier-Up rules.
Note: You are able to request more than one upgrade at once.
