Appearance
- Loves wearing kimonos in the Ofurisode-style. Especially those that are bright with colors!
- Is a yōkai, so his rabbit-like ears are real. Though he lies often and says they are not.
- Eyes are faded and unfocused due to him being blind. However, he moves well with the sounds around him.
- Frame and features are feminine, but he is male. It is thought it is due to him being yōkai which is why he appears the way he does.
- Left shoulder blade is marked with a brand of his clan which is also a marking for ownership.

BACKGROUND
- A young yōkai that was born among his clan during the later years of their freedom from aristocracy that captured his clan.
- He was born free and within the Imperial Lands among his family. Their desire was nothing less than the will to return to the Higi Woodlands which was their land of origin.
- A vow to be rid of the name "Shibani," which was given to them by their owners, his family adapted the surname "Usagi" which literally means "Rabbit" to remake themselves. He was born with this name and knew little of the origin when he was little.
- Hikari had been blind all his life and was blessed with Regalia when he was at his young age of five. He had shown a high aptitude for using dance-like movement, optimistic spirit, and sing-song voice in order to navigate the world around him.
- A survival instinct, Hikari had adopted his grandmother's instinct and charm of flirting in order to get what was desired or to navigate out of danger. He does it almost on a whim whether being playful or working an angle. She used this many times within earshot of Hikari when traveling across the Imperial Lands.
- Although flirtatious like his clan's grandmother, he is also just as serious and brooding when it comes to their by-laws and rules. He desires honor and respect be shown when it comes to exchanges. Ironically enough, around his pre-teen years, he became quite the thief as his grandmother pressed the notion of taking what was deserved.
- Although there was trouble, more than needed due to their way of handling things, Hikari's family returned to the Higi Woodlands. However, the family were not welcomed warmly to their kin as their attitudes were much different. Their are known as the "tainted" part of the family that does not integrate back well among the rest. Though, the clan is happy to have them back as they still desire to keep their family.
- Hikari hates the negative attention his family gets and, even more, hates how militia does not take the Higi Woodlands seriously! He vows to fight to defend the Woodlands from any danger using the art of song and dance to counter any threat.
- Hikari desires to have the High Woodlands to be acknowledged as a threat to the other Kingdoms and vows to eventually enroll into the Hajime Academy. He has been rejected many times due to his rambunctious behavior and not comprehending the weight of war.
